Pathways Update
We are currently working through issues regarding the placement of the public artwork “Pathways.” The project is moving forward, and the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance and I are pushing for a September installation date. I will be sure to post more details as soon as I know of them. This is just a small detour along the public art ‘pathway’ !

“Pathways; Art on Water Street Bridge” by Gillian...
I propose creating sculptural low-relief panels that will be attached to the existing fence on Water Street Bridge. The overall artwork is inspired by the pattern that the river and rails create. Within this imagery I propose sculpting details that tell a story, touch on the rich history of Fitchburg and ultimately converge to celebrate the future.

Fitchburg State College has a great news forum “Centerstage: Art and Community”. Among other events this fall at FSC, I will be presenting a lecture Tuesday October 27 at the Ellis White Lecture Hall (Hammond Campus Center) discussing my approach to creating public Art. This event is free and open to the public.
